Home / FAQs
Is OAK Builders licensed and insured?

Yes. OAK Builders LLC holds a Virginia Class A contractor license and is licensed and insured for work in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, carrying $1M/$2M commercial general liability coverage. Certificates of insurance are available on request.

Do you work with government agencies?

Yes — it's a core strength. We are an active SAM.gov registrant (UEI YM3RMQHPMTF8, CAGE 125C2), a certified Virginia SWaM vendor (#828355), and hold Maryland Small Business Reserve certification (SB25-082027). Our principal spent years managing projects for GSA, DoD/WHS at the Pentagon, and the Library of Congress.

What size projects do you take on?

Our sweet spot is commercial projects from roughly $50K to $1M as a prime contractor, and trade-scope packages (demolition, framing, drywall, ceilings, doors, paint, fixtures) of any size as a subcontractor to general contractors. Larger pursuits are evaluated case by case.

Can you work in occupied buildings?

Yes — most of our experience is in occupied and even mission-critical facilities. Off-hours phasing, dust and debris control, floor protection, freight-elevator logistics, and coordination with property management are built into our plans and our pricing from day one.

Do you handle prevailing wage / Davis-Bacon projects?

Yes. We price prevailing-wage and Davis-Bacon work correctly up front and run certified payroll throughout the project.

How do I get a quote?
